H1N1 Flu Advisory
Highlights:
- Cases of H1N1 flu are no longer reportable to the Health Department.
- Beginning October 1, all influenza-associated deaths are reportable whether due to H1N1 or seasonal flu, including those in persons 18 years of age and over.
- Testing for H1N1 flu at the State Lab is limited to hospitalized patients with flu-like illness who require admission to intensive care units. Prior approval by the Health Department is no longer necessary.
