Child Service Coordination

704-336-5074

Our program wants to help you build a strong family and we will work with you to help you meet your needs.

MCHD CSC

Is your child developing (doing things) like other children their age? Are they doing what we expect at their age such as sitting up, rolling over, reaching for toys, talking, walking, etc? If you have a child from birth to the age of five and have questions about your child's development please contact us.

Our program help you find:

  • Medical care, immunizations,
  • Transportation
  • Child care
  • Financial aid
  • Source of information for community services, parenting skills, etc.
  • Source of support

How much does it cost?

  • This program is FREE OF CHARGE. You only need to be a resident of Mecklenburg County and qualify for the program.

How do I know if my baby or child will qualify?

  • Call us and one of our Child Service Coordinators will call you or come to your home for a visit to determine your child's eligibility. All children birth to age five with special needs are eligible. Other children this age range may be eligible if there are significant concerns about their health, growth or development.

Where do I have to go for services?

  • You do not have to go anywhere. We will come to your home or a place that you want us to visit with you and your baby or child.

Who will visit me in my home?

  • We have nurses (RN) and social workers who are assigned to visit our families in their homes. Your family will be assigned to a nurse or a social worker when you qualify for services.
