Core Services represents the broad spectrum of Public Health activities in the service of the community.  Prevention of disease, promotion of healthy lifestyles to all age groups in many different settings, and direct clinical services in nutrition support and pediatric dentistry are delivered by public health professionals.  These, and other Health Department service and planning activities, rest upon the scientific basis provided by the Department of Epidemiology.
