Story Line: In the spring of 2007, students from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill returned to the Mississippi coast for the second time. This trip, coming 18 months after Hurricane Katrina, found many in the region to be entering a phase of disillusionment. Gary Black, Mecklenburg County Health Department, accompanied the group and created Katrina Recovery, Hope and Disillusionment at 18 Months, a 25 minute documentary that demonstrates the work being done and the needs that have emerged in the past year and a half.
