The goal of the NC Geodetic Survey is to provide geodetic data to the rapidly expanding community of professionals working in surveying, mapping, navigation, environmental and land-use applications, and geographic and land information systems.

This workshop will focus on Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and cover such topics as differential correction, the NC GPS Base Station Network, the NC Real Time Kinematic (RTK) Network, and the Online Positioning User Service (OPUS).

This workshop will conclude with an overview on the readjustment of the nation's horizontal control network, the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS), and how this readjustment will affect GIS in North Carolina.
