Just after 5pm on Saturday, February 7, 2009, employees at the Jaipur Restaurant called 911 to report a fire in their kitchen.  As a precaution, nearby businesses were temporarily evacuated for about an hour as firefighters were able to contain the fire to only the restaurant.  The cause was ruled accidental and traced to a fire that began in the kitchen and quickly traveled to the roof area.
