On Saturday morning, July 29th, Charlotte firefighters cooked and served up a pancake breakfast at the Center City 's Green Market. Center City Partners and Reid's Grocers sponsored the breakfast to raise money for the Firefighters' Burned Children Fund. We served approximately 110 plates, and we would like to thank all who came by to eat and pick-up PANCAKES!!!
BIG THANKS to Engine 5A and Engine 4A crews! Cooks were FF Jason Merritt,
FF Andy Tombaugh, FF Mike Lavoie, FF Travis Kermode. Assisting and demonstrating the fire engine were Captain Eric Kelly, Engineer Angie Blackmon,
Captain James Killian and Engineer Jim Robinette. Also FF Jason Dickson, FF Jonah Smith, and Engineer Larry Kepley served and helped the cause on their day off.
We appreciate all the firefighters, friends and families who came by to support the FFBCF!
