Congratulations our CFD/Medic Hockey Team for their great Victory over the Law Enforcement team (CMPD & Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office) 6-4  at Bobcats Arena. CFD/Medic made a quick start with a 4-1 lead in the first period, then the Cops & Sheriffs came back to tie the game 4-4 in the 3rd Period but our super team pulled it out with some outstanding play in the final minutes of the 3rd period. The final two goals were scored by Doug McCormac (E-28-B) and this assured our victory over the outstanding team that Law Enforcement put together.

 

The MVP of the game for us was Kenny Inman (64-A) who played Goalie and was superb. He made stops that coaches in the NHL are talking about. The next day we sent three (3) dozen doughnuts to Chief Stephens's office on behalf of CFD & Medic and they were delivered by Captain Rob Brisley. We will be sharing display of the Heroes Cup with Medic over the next year to gain more momentum for next year's game. Our Honorary Coaches were Retired Capt. Bob Summey, Retired Capt. Jim Black and Retired Captain Marvin Wilson. Our First goal was scored by Tyler Hoffman (E-8-B), 2nd Goal by Andy Lindley (E-15-C), 3rd Goal by Jeff Leclair (L-23-A), 4th Goal by Scott Stiles (L-32-A), 5th and 6th goals were by Doug McCormac (E-24-B)
