National Fire Prevention Week is just around the corner. October 3-9th, 2004 is the time-honored tradition where the fire service reaches out to the community to offer "fire and life safety" programs. To support the many important educational opportunities all ready in the place, the Charlotte Fire Dept is very excited to introduce a new addition to help save lives and prevent the next tragedy. This exciting new member of the CFD comes after long term planning, interviews, and ensuring he had the "Right Stuff" to do the job. Details will also be available to highlight the many fire prevention activities scheduled for the entire community during the month of October.
