 The City of Charlotte opened the 12,000 square foot fire station December 20 2008. This state of the art fire station is the home to Engine Company # 39, a four (4) person fire company along with Battalion # 7.  This fire station is being placed into service to support the needs of a growing part of south east Charlotte that includes large residential neighborhoods and new retail establishments. An announcement will be made regarding an open house hosted by the City of Charlotte and the Charlotte Fire Department in the near future.
