Location:    12100 Shopton Rd W.  - Opened in 2008

In September of 2008, the Charlotte Fire Department was able to move into the new fire station # 38 serving the Steele Creek area in south west Charlotte. This 3-bay station is staffed 24/7 with a four (4) person Engine Company.   Previously, they were in a temporary location nearby on Sledge Road. Fire station # 38 protects a growing residential community along with the commercial and industrial district found in the Westinghouse Blvd area. Look for an announcement coming soon to welcome the community at the fire station's grand open house.
