Location:  227 Ken Hoffman Drive - Opened in 1991
Fire Station 27 was opened to protect a large annexation area in 1990. The station protects the University Area, which has experienced tremendous growth in the last ten years. Hazards protected include the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, several hotels and retail centers, and a large number of wood-frame single and multi-family residences.
