Station 17 is home to Charlotte's Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) team.

Nine companies are housed at Station 17, which is on the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport property.

Engine 17 is a regular structural fire company, which also responds to incidents around the airport.  Engine 17's area consists of commercial and some residential occupancies.
