The Charlotte Fire Department Plans Review Division is located in the Hal Marshall Center at 700 North Tryon Street. They are located in the same property and work in cooperation with the Mecklenburg County Land Use and Environmental Services Agency (LUESA), Code Enforcement Division.

Through the review of all construction plans for new commercial buildings, as well as upfits and additions to existing buildings with-in the Charlotte City limits and Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) areas, they enforce the North Carolina Fire Code.
