Finance News:
City Treasurer Lee Madden and Risk Manager Scott Denham have annonced their retirements effective May 30, 2008. Recuritment for their replacements is underway.

Madden began his career with the City in 1971 and has working in Accounting and Treasury, prior to becoming City Treasurer in 2004, he served as Debt Manager. The Treasury Division is responsible for issuing debt, investment of city funds and revenue forecasting.
 
Denham has worked at the City since 2001 managing the Risk Management Division which is responsible for Insurance, Claims for Property, Casualty and Workers' Compensation and Safety. Risk Management serves the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education.
