Each year many make the mistake of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when it comes to thunderstorms and lightning. While there is no way to control nature, there are things that you can do to be better prepared and better protected from this underrated killer.
The most important thing to remember is: Be Aware. Keep an eye on the sky. Look for darkening skies, flashes of light, or increased wind. Listen for the sound of thunder. You will not only stay dryer, you will be in a better position to take appropriate action against lightening.
