SBA Micro Loan Program

What is the US Small Business Administration (SBA) Micro Loan Program?
The MicroLoan Program provides very small loans to start-up, newly established, or growing small business concerns. Under this program, the federal Small Business Administration makes funds available to nonprofit community based lenders (intermediaries) which, in turn, make loans to eligible borrowers in amounts up to a maximum of $35,000.

In the Charlotte area, the local intermediary that administers this program is Self Help Credit Union.  Applications for this program are submitted directly to Self Help and all credit decisions are made by them.
