Non-Geo District Operations

Social work operations that provide services to the entire county are housed in two non-geo district locations.

Non-District Operations

  • Adoption: recruit families interested in permanently adopting a child from the County's foster care system and provide case management & financial support to adoptive families
  • Community/Outreach Social Work: provides outreach, prevention and advocacy collaboratively with the child welfare team, community leaders,professionals and other committees/organizations to address the identified needs
  • Conflict of Interest / Facilities: screen and investigate conflict of interest cases, facilities and day cares
  • Court ordered visits: supervise court ordered visits between children and birth families
  • Economic and Housing Literarcy: provides economic, financial and housing literarcy for active clients
  • Family and Child Evaluation Team (FACET): assist court referred delinquent youth, when no child protection issues exist, to remain in the legal custody of their parent caretakers
  • Foster Care: recruit, train and license foster homes and work with contract agencies to provide an array of placement options and services homes for children in the County's foster care system
  • Independent Living: provides services for children who have or are about to age out of the foster care system
  • Intake/After Hours: respond to referrals from the community of alleged abused, neglected or dependent children, 24 hours a day - seven days a week in addition to screening and initiating after hours referrals and investigations
  • Interstate: initiate and process interstate request for services
  • Mental Health Carve Out: provides case management services to children in the County's foster care system with mental illnesses
  • Nursing unit: provide medical consultations for children in our foster care system
  • Sex Abuse: conduct investigations on sex abuse referrals
