The mission of FACET is to assist court referred delinquent youth, when no child protection issues exist, to remain in the legal custody of their parent caretakers. 

FACET services include resolving the immediate crisis, assessing the family unit, facilitating provision of needed services, supporting the family through transition, and linking with additional service programs. 

Intensive assessment and intervention services are provided to families whose children enter placement.  If this intense level of support is unsuccessful and it is unlikely the child can return safely to the family, the child is placed in custody of Mecklenburg County by the Juvenile Court.
