Senior Citizens Nutrition Program

Congregate Meals are served in the afternoon every weekday and are preceded by a variety of activities and programs for everyone. When needed, transportation is available on a limited basis to bring seniors into one of the sites. This service provides a way for older adults to enjoy fun, fellowship, and a delicious lunch in one place.  To find the congregate closest to your home, please use the following link: site out if your home is near one of our congregate sites, please use the following link: Site Locator.

Meal Delivery

Drivers load meals into the van for delivery.

Home Delivered Meals are provided to senior citizens who are not able to leave their homes to go to a congregate site.  Program participants receive frozen meals once a week. 

Homebound meal service provides a limited number of breakfast meals to senior citizens at the Davidson site. Weekend meals are also delivered to those homebound determined to be frail and isolated.

Supplemental Meals are nutritional supplements provided to senior citizens under the care of a physician.  With a doctor's approval, we will provide Boost Plus & Boost High Protein to these seniors on a monthly basis.

How to Apply for Services
To apply for any of our services, simply call Centralized Intake at 704-432-1111.  If you are interested in participating in the congregate nutrition meal program, you may simply come to one of our congregate sites and we can sign you up on the spot. Program Mission
The mission of the Senior Citizens Nutrition Program (SCNP) is to provide good nutrition in order to maintain/improve health, or prevent/delay deterioration of the mental and physical status enabling seniors to remain as independent as possible in their own homes.
