A social worker will contact you, usually within 10 days of the initial phone call, to set up a home visit. The application process may take several visits, depending on your needs. Back to List of Questions
- Why does the social worker come to my home?
The social worker will look at each situation individually and will look not only at the program you have applied for but also at what other programs and services might be helpful to you. Some programs, such as In-Home Aide, require that assessments be done in the home, so that safety may be assessed and a good plan developed. Back to List of Questions
