1. What services are available?

   Congregate Nutrition Meal Service provides a hot lunch in a group setting Monday through Friday, along with an array of programs and activities that allow for socialization. 

   Home Delivered Meal Service provides a hot lunch delivered Monday through Friday to the home of persons who are physically and mentally unable to obtain food, prepare meals, and who have no responsible person who is able and willing to perform this needed service.

   Supplemental Meal Service provides a nutritional supplement product to a person whose doctor has given written approval.

2. Who is eligible to participate in these services?

   Anyone living in Mecklenburg County who is over the age of 60 years old may participate in the Senior Nutrition Program. Each service has specific criteria and may vary, but there is something available for every senior citizen. For more specific information, please call our offices at 336-2400.

3. How much will the meals cost?

   Meals are provided at no cost.  However, persons receiving Nutrition services are encouraged to make a contribution towards the cost of the service.  Meals are not denied to a person who is unable to make a contribution.
