Non-Emergency Contracted Transportation Request for Proposal
Mecklenburg County, through its Department of Social Services (DSS), is soliciting and will receive proposals for contracted transportation services.
The purpose of these services is to provide non-emergency contracted transportation services to Medicaid approved adults and children, seniors (60 and older), veterans, adults and children with disabilities and persons who live outside the Charlotte city limits with no access to public transportation.

Transportation services are provided on a demand response and standing order basis. Most all trips are provided within Mecklenburg County.  On occasion, trips for DSS eligible passengers are provided for appointments outside Mecklenburg County. Transportation services are provided 24 hours per day/7 days per week, 364 days per year (December 25th is excluded).

Requirements for submitting a bid are stated in the Request For Proposal.

A pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 2:30 P.M. – 4:00 P.M., 1st Floor in Meck A&B Conference Rooms at the Department of Social Services, Kuralt Centre, 301 Billingsley Road, Charlotte, NC 28211. All service providers who desire to submit their qualifications for consideration for this service should be represented at this conference. Please register at Conference Registration.

 **Due to limited seating only one representative will be allowed.

Interpreting and Translation Services Request for Qualifications
Mecklenburg County, through its Department of Social Services (DSS), is soliciting and will receive proposals for face to face interpreting, telephone interpreting and written translation services as outlined in the following specifications.  This Request for Qualifications (RFQ), process is the means by which Mecklenburg County DSS will determine which Service Provider is most qualified to provide the Interpreting & Translation services.

Requirements for submitting a bid are stated in the Request for Qualifications.

A pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010, 12:30 P.M. – 2:00 P.M., 1st Floor in Charlotte Room Conference Room, #146 at the Department of Social Services, Kuralt Centre, 301 Billingsley Road, Charlotte, NC 28211.

Mecklenburg County, through its Department of Social Services (DSS), has been awarded an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant – The Opportunity Project. The Opportunity Project will provide subsidized employment through part-time and full-time positions to residents of Mecklenburg County that meet the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) eligibility.

This Request for Proposal (RFP), process is the means by which Mecklenburg County DSS will determine which Service Providers are most qualified to provide these services.

RFP Family Partner Addendum #1

Family Partner Request for Proposal

Mecklenburg County, through its Department of Social Services (DSS), is soliciting and will receive proposals for Community Based Family Partner Services.

The purpose of these services is to Provide Parent Support Services (within designated Geo Districts) to families mandated to receive services based on Court mandate or Child and Family Team meeting (CFTs) recommendation. Parent Support Services include:

  1. Identify family members and community resources to engage and mentor in order to help facilitate behavioral and attitudinal changes that result in responsible parenting.
  2. Give parent partners the opportunity to demonstrate an understanding of the NC Family Centered Principles of Partnership by being a valuable partner involved in the preparation, participation, and follow up to the CFTs.
