The overall mission of DSS Administration is to provide policy guidance and support that ensures an effective and efficient agency that meets and exceed customer's expectations internally and externally through cost effective planning, dynamic management, coordination of services, resources, information and technology.

- DSS Human Resources oversee the recruitment, retention, administering benefits, classification, compensation, and incentive programs.
- Information (Technology) Services Division provides direct customer support with information technology to staff to ensure the facilitatation of service delivery to the community.
- Community Resources Office is a connecting link between customers, human service professionals at the Department of Social Services, other community agencies, volunteers and community donors.
- Customer Service & Information is responsible for the evaluation of each customer who visits the Kuralt Centre facility to ensure appropriate services are received. In addition, the CS&I Director is also responsible for the Citizen's Information & Referral (CIR) and
Customer Service Group (CSG) call centers.
- Fraud Investigations, investigates possible fraud and/or abuse of welfare benefits obtained illegally through the Department of Social Services.
DSS is also committed to reevaluation and enhancement of services which focus on prevention, early intervention, moving customers toward or maintaining self-sufficiency and improving the quality of life for all citizens through collaboration.
