24-Hour Hotline - To Report Incidents of Child or Adult Abuse, Neglect or exploitation:   704 336-CARE (704-336-2273).

CSG staff

To apply for most services, please come to our main location.  If you are disabled and cannot come to the agency, you may have friends or relatives come and apply for you.  If that is not possible, please telephone our Citizen Information and Referral (CIR) at 704-336-3150 to request a home visit.  You do not have to bring any information in order to make an application.  You may choose to bring any of the following:  picture identification, social security cards, birth certificates, information on household income and reserve items, and medical bills.

Offices are closed for the following holidays in 2008:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving (that Thursday and Friday)
  • Christmas Holiday

Directions (From I-85 or I-77): Follow to the Brookshire/Belk Freeway, then out to Independence Boulevard (US 74) eastbound. Once on the Independence Freeway, go past the Independence Arena (old Charlotte Coliseum). Get off at the next right-hand exit onto Eastway Road/Wendover Road southbound (you will see a sign for the Mint Museum). Heading south on Wendover, go straight to the 5th traffic light (you will pass Home Depot, McDonald's and a shopping center). At the 5th light, make a right onto Randolph Road. Go down to the bottom of the hill. At that light, make a right onto Billingsley Road. The Department is located at 301 Billingsley Road, the second driveway on the left. The building is the large brick structure on the right. Parking is available at the Mecklenburg County Health Department next door.

Directions (From Uptown Charlotte): Take Randolph Road southbound (past Presbyterian Hospital) approximately 2.5 miles. When you pass, the Mint Museum on your right, Billingsley will be the second traffic light. Make a left onto Billingsley and go to the second driveway on the left.
