You will have the opportunity to rank each of the County's 55 Program Categories across 7 priority levels. Level 1 indicates the category is of the highest priority, while level 7 programs are more discretionary. The fundamental principle is that everything can't be a "top" priority. This is not to suggest that any of the Program Categories are not important to the community. However, the County's annual budget represents a collection of choices made by the Board as to what services it wants to buy, and there are consequences associated with the choices. The priority setting exercise helps provide a foundation for those choices.
