November is nationally recognized as Homeless Awareness Month.
These events are local public awareness efforts recognizing November as Homeless Awareness Month with the goal of raising community awareness of homelessness and the many opportunities to help reduce and eliminate it.
November 13 Candlelight Vigil November 17 Homeless Awareness Walk

A candlelight vigil sponsored by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Homeless Services Network will be held at the wall near the Hal Marshall Center in memory of the 22 homeless or formerly homeless neighbors that have died this year.

Registration begins at 8:30 AM Entertainment & family events start at 9:00 AM Walk begins at 10:30 AM (followed by lunch)
The 5K walk begins and ends on Spratt Street between Crisis Assistance Ministry and the Salvation Army.

$10 per pre-registered walker ($15 day of walk), 12 and under are free.
