Council members and citizens recently expressed the need for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) maintained rights-of-way throughout the city to be mowed. The NCDOT has informed the City that the first cycle of mowing was just completed. They are aware of several missed areas, which they plan to address.

We understand that the NCDOT agreed to mow five times a year in Mecklenburg County. They plan to begin the next mowing cycle on Tuesday, May 26, weather permitting. The mowing is slated to begin on the east side of NC49 (University City Boulevard), and work around the county in a clockwise rotation.
