Alicia Jolla, our Small Business Opportunity (SBO) Manager, is relocating to accept another job offer and will be leaving her position with the City of Charlotte on October 31, 2008. Alicia has done a great job in her tenure and has built a great team of people. She will be missed by all of us, and I know you join me in wishing her well and congratulating her on her new position.
Obviously this will create a void in our organization and we will all have to work together to make this transition seamless. Until a permanent replacement is hired, Alban Burney, who currently works in the Economic Development Office (EDO) under Alicia's direction, will act as Interim Program Manager for the Small Business Opportunity Program. Alban will handle all questions and inquiries regarding the program which Alicia previously handled. You may reach him at (704) 336-4178 or aburney@ci.charlotte.nc.us.

Staff has completed a proposed schedule and suggested topics for Council member participation on Queen City Limits through the remainder of FY09. The format is a thirty-minute program for in-depth discussion and exploration of Council priorities, focus area topics, and important issues of the day. One show is produced each month with participation of two Council members along with staff and/or community representatives or City partners.
Attached is the proposed schedule along with information about the show's production.
