The Small Business Opportunity (SBO) Program hosted its inaugural SBO Benefit Kick-Off on Thursday, August 28 in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center lobby. The event provided valuable information to more than 110 small businesses from Charlotte and surrounding areas. Small business owners were granted the opportunity to receive information and talk with representatives from local area professional organizations, the City of Charlotte KBU's, and other government entities. The SBO staff collected information from attendees regarding their interest in its programs and will develop additional opportunities and involvement based on the response.  The SBO office will host this event annually as we continue to enhance, develop, and grow enterprises in the Charlotte community.
