On Tuesday, January 22 the City and the Chamber will co-host the inaugural BusinessFirst Charlotte Annual Report to share findings from interviews with leaders of over 400 businesses in Charlotte-Mecklenburg in 2007. The event will also feature a panel discussion on roads and transportation, which emerged as the top local concern in interviews. Attached is a copy of the program agenda.
Started in 2006, BusinessFirst Charlotte is a key component of the City's Business Retention & Growth Strategy. Each week, City Economic Development Staff, along with trained volunteers from the Chamber, conduct face-to-face interviews with local business leaders in an effort to retain and expand existing businesses in Charlotte through information sharing and problem solving.
This breakfast meeting will be held from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. at the Westin Charlotte, and Council members are invited to attend. The 400 business leaders that participated in an interview are also invited. Please RSVP by calling the Chamber at (704) 378-1345.
