FY2008 Q2 Small Business Enterprise Utilization Report

Alicia Jolla, 704-336-2116, ajolla@ci.charlotte.nc.us The City's FY08 SBE Utilization goal for informal purchases is 10%. The City exceeded that goal with just under 12% informal spending with SBEs during the second quarter, and YTD utilization of 12.3%. The total amount spent with SBE firms for informal purchases this quarter was $2.21 million, and $4.41 million has been spent YTD. Other highlights for FY08 Q2 include:
- $12.9 million spent with minority and/or women-owned firms ($34.2 Million YTD)
- Each of the five minority ownership groups surpassed the goals established for subcontractor utilization
- Over $800,000 spent with SBEs on Formal contracts ($1.56 Million YTD)
