Council members are invited to attend the Community Collaborative Press Conference which will announce the Fatherhood Town Hall Meeting and finalists of the 2008 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Father of the Year/Father Figure of the Year Essay Contest. The press conference will occur at Time Warner Cable Arena Atrium on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 2:00 pm.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee, Urban Restoration, and several local leaders will recognize five finalists of the essay contest in preparation for the announcement of the winners during the pre-game show of the Bobcats basketball game on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Additionally, the press conference will inform the public of the details of the Community Collaborative on Parenting, Youth Employment, Mentoring and Gangs.
Staff hopes you will join us to inform the community of these worthwhile events and help recognize the finalists of the 2008 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Father of the Year/Father Figure of the Year Essay Contest.
