Council members are asked to assemble in Room 267 at the Government Center on Monday, December 3 by 6:30 pm to review the order of the evening's program. The Ceremony starts at 7:00 pm with a reception immediately following.

Post Construction Controls Ordinance Adoption & Transition Update

Council unanimously approved the Post Construction Controls Ordinance at the November 26 meeting. Inquiries have been made regarding training and the transition to the new ordinance. A copy of the ordinance is available on the web at http://stormwater.charmeck.org to allow the public to become acquainted with the regulations. Staff is available to answer questions concerning the regulations from the public and design community.

Staff is beginning the process of hiring and training the review and inspection personnel required to implement the ordinance, and anticipate being complete in early Spring. There will be internal staff training activities to prepare reviewers and inspectors for the July 1, 2008 implementation date. Staff will also be polling the development industry on their training needs and will conduct training sessions that address community knowledge gaps prior to implementation of the ordinance. We will provide Council with periodic updates as we move toward July 1.
