Information Items:
The fiscal year 2006 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is attached for your information and review.  On January 22, a full presentation will be made regarding these financial statements by Finance staff and the external auditor.  The report will also be available online at cafr.charmeck.org after January 22, 2007.
 
Street Lighting and Litter

As a follow up to discussion that occurred at the December Transportation Committee meeting, Barry Moose, North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Division 10 Engineer, will attend the January 22 Transportation Committee meeting scheduled for 3:00 pm in Room 280. He will talk about work the NCDOT is pursuing to address lighting and litter issues along major Charlotte highways. All City Council members are invited to attend. We will share the outcome of the discussion as part of a Council-Manager communication after the meeting.
