In September of 2006, City Council adopted a Valet Parking Ordinance that will go into effect January 1, 2007. To give businesses that provide valet parking in the public right-of-way ample time to complete, submit and have their permit applications processed before the effective date, CDOT will be:

  • Sending a press release and e-mails on October 12 to an advocacy group to raise awareness of the changes and deadlines
  • Making the applicable forms/information available online on October 12 at http://CDOT.Charmeck.org
  • Sending letters, with a copy of the ordinance and application, to the 15 impacted businesses the week of October 9

Businesses are asked to submit their completed applications by no later than December 11, 2006 to ensure processing by year end.
