NC Thinking Ahead Regional Forum to discuss Transportation Revenues  Staff Resource: Jim Humphrey, 704-336-3883

The Mayor and City Council are invited to participate in a Regional Forum conducted by the NC Thinking Ahead Task Force and North Carolina Secretary of Transportation on October 7, 2005 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Harris Center of the CPCC West Campus.

Earlier this year, the Governor and State Secretary of Transportation appointed a task force, NC Thinking Ahead, to address Transportation needs and options for increased funding. The task force has commissioned regional forums around the state to solicit input. The meeting is expected to be facilitated and highly interactive. Invitations to the forum are being distributed widely by the Chamber of Commerce, area Metropolitan Planning Organizations and others.
