Since 1979, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee, in conjunction with corporate sponsors and community organizations, has planned the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration. Because of the significance of Dr. King's activities over his lifetime, many other groups hold events during the holiday. Several of these groups will hold their events on government property during the weekend. The attached program details the officially sponsored events coordinated by the Community Relations Committee.
