2008 Water Quality Report Hits Mailboxes
|
Citizens across Mecklenburg County will receive the annual Water Quality Report summarizing important information about your tap water. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities mailed 445,000 copies of the report, as federally required, to share drinking water test results from calendar year 2008.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg's tap water meets and exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards, and, as in years past, the utility had zero water quality violations. Utilities takes the responsibility of delivering outstanding drinking water very seriously; you can be confident in its high quality. We encourage customers to spend time reading the report to become more familiar with the water resources so critical to health, businesses, fire protection and other aspects of our community.
To view the report online or to see the list of the 132 substances tested for but not detected in your water, please visit www.cmutilities.com on the "Publications" page.
A Spanish translation of the report will appear in Mi Gente newspaper the week of May 18.
