Susan Burgess, Charlotte City Council At-Large representative, will host a town hall meeting to provide citizens with an overview of the significance of stimulus funding for CMPD, the top crime concerns in our communities, and volunteer opportunities available to promote community safety.

This is an opportunity for citizens to find out how stimulus funding will affect CMPD, how VICE and the Gang Unit operate, and how to promote safer neighborhoods with volunteerism.
Speakers will include:
Susan Burgess and Chief Rodney Monroe, amongst other scheduled Sergeants, Detectives, Captains, and Officers.
Topics that will be addressed:
Number of incidents and total value of items taken, strategies to reduce break-ins, types of drugs being sold and commonly used, gang-related crimes, and highlights of specific arrest examples pertaining to these subjects.
