City Holiday Hours

City of Charlotte offices will be closed on Monday, January 19.

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will operate on a Saturday schedule. No express service will operate on that day except for the 77X North Mecklenburg express which will operate according to its Saturday schedule. Solid Waste Services will not provide residential garbage, recyclable, yard waste or bulky item collection on Monday, January 19. Collection services will operate on a one-day delay for the entire week with Friday customers receiving service on Saturday, January 24.

CATS Wants to Hear from You

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) and the City of Charlotte wants your input about the LYNX Blue Line Extension (BLE). There will be two public meetings held to address:

  • Study findings and recommendations for Sugar Creek and North Carolina Railroad alignment alternatives. (This recommendation will be presented to City Council and the Metropolitan Transit Commission for approval.)
  • Station site plans for the 13 proposed BLE stations.
  • Historic resources identified within the project study area. (In accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.)
