Report Water Leaks To 311

In maintaining more than 3,500 miles of water pipes, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities responds to water repair requests on a daily basis.  It relies on residents to report leaks or damage caused by suspected leaks.

If you see any of the following, call 311 to ensure Utilities is aware of the problem:

  • Water leaking from a broken pipe
  • Water coming from under street pavement
  • Water leaking from a fire hydrant
  • Water collecting around a water meter

All water leaks are a priority, and those posing a public safety risk or causing property damage are addressed first.  For more information, visit www.cmutilities.com
