Funded by 2007 State Grant and City Pedestrian Safety Program

This transportation project will improve safety and traffic operations at the W.T.Harris/Milton Road intersection through signalization and channelization.  It will also provide a safer crossing for pedestrians.

Objectives:

• Reduce congestion
• Improve safety for all modes of travel, including bicycles and pedestrians

Cost:  $200,000
Please note that this figure is for the Planning Phase only.  At the end of the Planning Phase, the scope of work will be defined along with a budget for the entire project.

Details from the Planning Phase and its public involvement process:
The City's In-House Planning and Design Group has worked with CDOT Staff to present concept plans to the public. These plans were discussed at the public meetings. A final design will be generated at the conclusion of the Planning Phase based on safety, cost, benefits, traffic analysis and the public involvement process.
