This project will extend Old Pineville Road from Victory Christian Church south to connect directly to Arrowood Road at England Street.

Objectives:
- To improve automobile, bicycle and pedestrian access, safety and comfort levels within the Arrowood Station Area
- To promote transit-oriented development within the Arrowood Station Area

Cost: $3,710,000
Please note that the project cost will include all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
The Engineering & Property Management (E&PM) project team will manage the Old Pineville Extension Project through the stages listed below. Specific work is conducted during each stage with an emphasis on public involvement during the planning and design phases.
Planning & Design Phase (Fall 2003 - Summer 2005)
City staff worked with the Gannett Fleming Consultant Team to plan the improvements to the Old Pineville Extension. The plans were based on safety, cost, benefits, traffic analysis and a public involvement process. The public involvement process allowed citizens and nearby businesses to provide input at 3 public meetings.
Real Estate Phase (Winter 2003 - Spring 2006)
The City's Real Estate staff worked with citizens and businesses to acquire right of way and property easements needed for construction work.
Bid Phase (ON HOLD)
During the bid phase, final specifications are prepared and quantities of material are determined. The City of Charlotte follows the North Carolina state regulations and selects the lowest, responsible bidder.
Construction Phase (ON HOLD)
E&PM staff will work closely with the Contractor and property owners to ensure right of way agreements are followed.
