A Neighborhood Improvement Project
In November 2006, voters approved $25,000,000 for neighborhood improvement projects including $2,000,000 for McCrorey Heights. This project is bounded by Beatties Ford Road, Oaklawn Avenue, Brookshire Blvd and I-77. The neighborhood will receive improvements, such as curb and gutter, sidewalks with ADA wheel chair ramps, planting strips and storm drainage improvements.
Objectives:
- To improve the quality of life for the residents of the McCrorey Heights Neighborhood through infrastructure improvements
- To provide new sidewalks and planting strips for pedestrians to walk safely through the neighborhood.

McCrorey Heights
This project will build new sidewalk, curb and gutter, planting strips and storm drainage improvements in the McCrorey Heights neighborhood.
What's happened? The Planning Phase has begun and the first planning meeting took place on June 10, 2008.
What's next? Public meetings will be scheduled and notifications of the public meetings will be mailed out to the residents.

Cost: $2,000,000
Please note this figure includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
