Eastwoods Neighborhood Improvement Project

A 2010 Neighborhood Bond Project
This project will provide various infrastructure improvements in the neighborhood, which is bordered by Albemarle Road, Wilgrove-Mint Hill Road, Wilson Grove Road, tributaries of the McAlpine Creek, and the Mint Hill Town Limits. Funding for this project will be provided by the 2010 Neighborhood Bonds.
Objectives:
- Maintain, stabilize and revitalize the neighborhood through comprehensive infrastructure improvements
- Strengthen the neighborhood and surrounding community.

Eastwoods
This project will provide infrastructure improvements for such things as sidewalk, curb & gutter and drainage improvements.
What's happened? The project has been initiated and we have selected a consultant, US Infrastructure, for the planning phase.
What's next? The contract for the planning portion of the project is being negotiated with the consultant (a 3 to 4 month process). After City Council approves the planning contract, the planning activities will begin.

Cost: $2,000,000 Please note that this is the NIP funding amount. Additional funding may be identified after the planning phase. Project costs typically include all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
