A Neighborhood Improvement Project
This project area is bounded by Campbell Creek, WT Harris Boulevard, Hickory Grove Road and Albemarle Road. This project will identify opportunities for roadway and pedestrian improvements such as:

curb and gutter

sidewalks

driveway aprons

storm drainage
-
landscaping
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities has proposed nearly 6,000 linear feet of new water main on various roads within Farm Pond. The construction for this project will begin in 2012.
Currently, the consultant is finishing up the planning report and the City is negotiating the design consultant's contract.

Farm Pond
In November 2006, voters approved $25,000,000 for neighborhood improvement projects including $1,500,000 for Farm Pond. This project will include infrastructure improvements such as sidewalk, curb and gutter and minor storm drainage improvements in the Farm Pond neighborhood.
What's happened? The first public meeting was held on August 23, 2007. The second public meeting was held on December 11, 2007. The February postcard describes the second public meeting results. The third public meeting was held on February 26. The proposed improvements are shown in the final concept plan.
What's next? The planning phase is near completion. The design phase will begin in June 2008.

Cost: $1,500,000 Please note this figure includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
