Enderly Park Neighborhood Improvement Project

A 2008 Neighborhood Bond Project
This project area is bounded by Tuckaseegee Road, Berryhill Road and Freedom Drive. This project will identify opportunities for roadway and pedestrian improvements, such as curb and gutter, pedestrian refuge islands, bulb outs, improvements to signalized crossings, construction of planted medians, new marked pedestrian crosswalks, pedestrian signals, and roadway accommodations for bicycles.
It will also provide new curb alignment to accommodate vehicles, transit, cycles, and pedestrians. This project may also involve coordination with storm drainage improvement projects and water line replacement projects. This project's construction will be funded by the 2008 Neighborhood Bonds.
Objectives:
- Maintain, stabilize and revitalize the neighborhood through comprehensive infrastructure improvements
- Strengthen the neighborhood and surrounding community

Enderly Park In November 2006, voters approved $25,000,000 for neighborhood improvement projects including $3,000,000 for Enderly Park. This project will include infrastructure improvements such as sidewalk, curb and gutter, and minor storm drainage within Enderly Park, bounded by Tuckaseegee Road, Berryhill Road and Freedom Drive.
What's happened? The first public meeting was held on June 28, 2007. The second public meeting was held on October 30, 2007. The third public meeting was held on January 8. The Public Involvement Brochure describes the public involvement process for Enderly Park. The proposed improvements are shown in the final concept plan.
What's next? The planning phase is complete. The design phase will begin 2nd Quarter 2008.

Cost: $3,000,000 Please note that this is the NIP funding amount. Additional funding may be identified after the planning phase. Project costs typically include all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
