Belmont / Seigle Avenue Neighborhood Improvement Project

A Neighborhood Improvement Project

In 2004 and 2006, voters approved $5,800,000 in neighborhood improvement bonds for Belmont/Seigle Avenue. Seigle Avenue is now a wide street with narrow sidewalks, crumbling retaining walls, and curb that has been paved over by years of overlays.

The current plan includes increased safety for both pedestrians and motorists through the installation of 8' landscaped planting strips along the street, 6' wide sidewalks, and reconstruction of the existing retaining walls.  In order to address concerns about speeding, the street's cross-section will be modified to include on-street parking and narrowed thru lanes.

This project is being built in two phases:

Phase 1 - 10th street to Van Every
Phase 2 - Van Every to Parkwood

Belmont/Seigle Avenue
