3. Homicide Task Force - Civil Gang Injunction

Action: The Homicide Task Force report recommends targeting violent gangs. CMPD Attorney Newbold will highlight a new tool the CMPD will use to counter the behavior of some of the most troublesome gangs in the city.

Action: The Committee will hear ways Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and the Charlotte Department of Transportation are working to curb littering. Discussion will include CMPD's legal authority to enforce littering laws on state roads and highways and CDOT's anti-littering signage.

Action: Several citizens have expressed concerns about door-to-door salespeople and peddlers. Staff will outline the current ordinances regulating these activities and offer suggestions for the Committee's consideration.
